Middle School CLAY

The Creative Leaders Affirming Youth (C.L.A.Y.) Middle School Curriculum is designed to support healthy relationships, social-emotional development, and youth violence prevention. As a core part of the C.L.A.Y. in schools pathway, the curriculum empowers middle school scholars to prevent violence and foster positive relationships within their communities.

Through engaging lessons, media, and interactive learning activities, scholars explore key topics including healthy relationships, self-reflection, values, decision-making, trusted support systems, media influence, sexism and racism, and supporting a friend in need. Using real-life examples and culturally relevant media, scholars connect more deeply with the curriculum and apply their learning in ways that are meaningful to them.

The C.L.A.Y. Middle School Curriculum is facilitated by trained staff from The Good Foot Arts Collective in official partnership with school districts, school administrators, academic intervention specialists, and school staff. This 12-session curriculum is classroom-tested, culturally relevant, and informed by proven data and outcomes.
