Creative Leaders Affirming Youth (CLAY) is a healthy relationship, social/emotional support and youth violence prevention curriculum. The Good Foot utilizes this youth violence prevention curriculum by partnering with local schools in their health classes on teen dating violence awareness, warning signs, sexual assault education, healthy community, gender stereotypes and gender based violence. Youth are equipped and empowered to address domestic violence directly.

What is Creative Leaders Affirming Youth?

Research tells us that over 80% of teens who are experiencing dating or domestic violence initially go to their peers for help, not adults or leadership. The Creative Leaders Affirming Youth (CLAY) Curriculum is a 10 session, data and outcomes proven, youth dating violence prevention curriculum designed specifically to be relevant to youth culture and teaches them how to advocate to their peers. We incorporate engaging learning activities, media and empowering learning tools to educate, equip and increase awareness and literacy about teen dating and domestic violence. We officially partner with administrative school staff and leadership for academic tracking, grading and oversight. The curriculum includes sessions such as warning signs, sexual assault education, healthy community, gender stereotypes and gender based violence.
